1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
I feel very grateful to have reached a state of consciousness that is allowing me to find and use my voice, as well as to enjoy the process of discovering myself outside of the roles and norms dictated by the society.

2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
My divorce… Because sometimes I feel a twinge in my heart that my children won’t have the opportunity to experience growing up in a household with their two parents. But this is also an opportunity to change the narrative around this idea of what a “perfect” family should be. Family is where love is, no matter its structure.

3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
A world free of power dynamic and discrimination of all sorts.
.
.
4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
I am learning not to worry about the future. I believe that everything that happens, good or bad is an opportunity to learn, adjust, grow and inspire. My prayer is to always have the strength to accept life as it comes… and goes.

5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?
Michelle Obama will always be one of my fave. But currently I feel more inspired (1) by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for being such a bold and unapologetically intellectual African woman & (2) by Tracy Lee Ross for being so authentically herself.

6) A ONE-SENTENCE MESSAGE TO OTHER WOMEN?
That will be my favourite quote “Be you, the world will adjust”.
